The creators of Barbie(1959) and Hot Wheels(1968) were husband and wife. Ruth Handler created Barbie in 1959, and Elliot Handler created Hot Wheels in 1968. They also named the dolls after their children Barbara and Kenneth. More than 1 Billion Barbies and 6 Billion Hot wheels have been sold so far.
